when rain stops for a moment to see the blossoms

Dear friends, i did not think i would post today. rain has fallen all week long but a few moments ago it stopped and the cold air changed into a warm balmy one. i went outside to spray the horses against the bugs and as i walked in long grass and flowering weeds ( how quick fields grow) i spotted  the apple and pear trees blossoming. the big orchard will soon follow and this weekend between the opening of the brattleboro outdoor market, the nicest market to go to as you drive through the green mountains and the flowering trees, i suspect i will be taking many photographs to share. yet i find myself posting a few  i just took because it the best way i know how to wish you a happy weekend.

Oh although i have not spoken about this yet and hope too real soon on La Porte Rouge but last week the hill was busy with  the making of the video for Aran's book trailer  with the talented Ryan Marshall you can see some of my photographs along with hers here.

happy weekend dear readers

Hello, I am pleased that you have a Russian name, you love Russian literature ... In Vermont, the Russian writer Solzhenitsyn lived, and I would be interested to know what you know about it ...
I told my girlfriend about this, please contact us.
I read your blog with great pleasure and I get a quiet, good mood. Thank you.

Your home and all the little details, like the different colored eggs and the little potted plants on your windowsil, leave my speechless. I love the pictures Aran shared on her blog!

These are so beautiful, too....you are already very good friends with your new camera, I see. :)

Sending you love and many green leaves from here....we are already in a full green dress here!

Oh, Nadia, the rich loveliness of your spring blossom photos touches deep, to my soul, so lush with hope and beauty. How magnificent your magical home will grace Aran’s book trailer. Quite an honor to live in such an enchanted world. I loved her comment about the light being that of hiding places. The old apple, pear, quince and crabapple trees are in bloom here too. The overt beauty of spring, with her sweet scents, is so intoxicating to me. Enjoy your weekend my friend!

Dearest Nadia,
I am thrilled to see a post from you anytime, even the unplanned ones.
I can only imagine how absolutely breathtaking the orchids must be in full bloom. You must feel blessed beyond measure to live in such an enchanted place. And I feel it an honor that you so graciously share it with all of us.

I truly enjoyed Aran's post about her visit to your home and the preview of her book. She is amazingly talented and I look forward to seeing and reading more about it all.

Have a lovely weekend,
Sarah

This time of year reminds me to be patient through the rains and cold snaps, knowing that they are necessary to bring out the deep greens and blossoms of spring. Your orchid photos demonstrate this well. A lovely way to wish a happy weekend - thank you.

Oh! It's all so beautiful...I loved the book preview ~ thank you for letting us in on it as it were. We are having the wettest Spring I can remember here at The Lane. I loved your blossom pictures, the light seems much softer in your part of the world. Here, in the orchard the blossom is just about to burst...we just need a tiny glimmer of sunshine...
Sarah.

I was browsing Instagram one evening on my sofa and one thing led to another and I came to Ryan's photos. I saw beautiful countryside photos and it caught my attention. I looked through his photos and then in his captions I found your name and saw photos of the hill! So proud! So happy! I showed Justin right away and told him that these were photos of the hill where my friend Nadia lives : )

I cannot wait to see more of your work, along with Aran's and Ryan's.

Love from Montreal. xx
