when you inhale the good and exhale the bad

i have been distracted, i apologize dear friends. this morning i woke to the most beautiful fog, yet for the first time in a long while my head is not in such a place, fog that is..........

i am sorry i paused while writing you just now, see i am at the cafe sitting by a window and my eyes came across a puddle, the rain plays with that puddle it is beautiful and simple.  the other morning i inhaled the worst kind of morning only to later exhale the best thing that is happened in a long while. ( i do not mean to be so secretive, but i am trying to be cautious) it got me thinking about you, yes you i wondered if you were scared of something or afraid to speak up or stand your ground. i wondered what you feared would happen. i am not going to write and tell you to go for it, because if you do the worst thing you suspect might just happen, yes it might.  what i will tell you is that even if it does what might surprise you is how you handle it after that, how you feel about doing it might be the best thing for you, because you just might think to yourself i am glad i am me and that i am not them and sometimes we need reminder of that very difference.

*first photograph is of all the brids that gather by my kitchen window, ( the duck coop) to feast.

and the snow fell quietly

the snow has been falling for hours now. every inch of the farm covered as if it requested a fresh start. i have taken hundreds of photographs already trying to capture the quiet  of a winter snow fall. the birds are out by the hundreds eating what i have put out. a large bird of prey came down trying to scoop one of them for lunch, i stopped him then ran for my camera. it is so white out there and in here white linens are occupying the washer, all slip covers will be washed today and it will take all day. i love that in here is a parallel of what is out there. i must confess there is a part of me that wants to dust the snow of my car and drive to  the cafe with a book,  sit by a window and sip for hours. i am thinking of vermont when i lived there and how many times i did that, thinking of k. and  how we stumbled upon a cafe in the dead of winter and we sat there four hours sipping tea, playing chess....

take time to smell the peonies

i hope you all had a wonderful weekend. my peonies are blooming but i have not had a chance to smell them. it has been busy and challenging, this weekend went by fast. today will be about finishing projects and making my porch on the farm house more inviting, it will be about giving love to a visiting kitten, preparing for a giant beautiful addition to our family and preparing something good for k upon his return from a five day absence! and hopefully i will have a chance of speaking to a new mama.

how are you?

a bird and a berry bush

this is happening right outside my window, the lens on my camera was my tamron eighty to three hundred so it was difficult to get a close up and for it not to be blurry but i love it just the same. it made my heart sing. i have been asking questions and things like this come to me as answers.

they help my inspiration fly

we had an opportunity to see these beautiful birds. i could watch them forever. there colors made me speechless, the detail in which "mother nature" put into these make them masterpieces. the character of each bird was different. Will calls out to christine, another says you are my nightingale to his mate in the night and you are my sunshine in the morning..they watch you as much as you watch them... i have mix feeling of were these birds should be..but i did enjoy visiting with them
