warm fingers

i spend most of the day outside, sometimes it is because the old farm house has drafts and my fingers get cold but most of the time it is because i know how lucky this prolonged fall weather is. i can't get enough of the pasture, the stone walls the fallen pine cones. today i stayed extra long, yes, my fingers were cold and i could no longer stay in. once outside i found the sun, i followed it till it warmed me up, till i pulled my gloves off and even my hat and could easily click the shutter of my camera. then i chased the sun as it rested on seed pods, rusted leaves on delicate branches, wheat and even on tolstoy's nose.

sometimes looking at it through a window is not enough,so you must step outside even for a minute and let it warm you..but around here it is never for just a minute

*music is a gift from sara pride and prejudicethanks sara

Today, the sky is very grey and rainny in France and the pretty little things of La porte rouge are perfectly warming and smiling!

Two winters in North America and I couldn't help but notice how the sun just couldn't warm me up,until then I'd taken the sun and its warmth for granted coming from India. I'm shivering at the thought of you taking off your gloves and your hat.

what beautiful music, and what a treat this morning to open up your little world on my screen and see you chase the morning sunlight as it races through the hayfield and lands, for a moment, on tolstoy's nose. thank you for bringing so much beauty into our lives. xo

Oh so true. Sometimes I have to force myself to get outside (when it's not raining), and I'm always so glad I did.

Sometimes I wonder why I don't go outside more often. I crave it, but other things - less important duties - always seem to keep me inside longing for the air that breathes outside my windows. I must change my priorities.

Thank you for all of your wonderful comments!
