when it begins

I have had a wonderful weekend hope you did too. so much to tell you about! i am writing this post from my studio and after a fun shoot. my camera was giving me trouble so i used one that was a little unfamaliar to me. my model and friend sheila is lovely and gracious. i feel as the seed of ideas begins to bloom in this place.

if you do not mind i would like to post more of this shoot at a later time.

le studio (Giveaway)

a confession. january first ten thousand gallons of water flooded my studio, sprinkler system froze. I had not been to my studio in month. somehow i had trouble finding the motivation to go. i was stuck. i have been stuck for a long time. when it happened i felt bad for the tenants below me. i thought i deserved what had happened for not using this space. I have done that a lot in my life.

the last few days i have spent many hours cleaning it. i remember all those plans i had made for this space. it is lovely, it truly is. i am lucky to have it, but sometimes i think that the space is unlucky to have me as a tenant. i would like to change that, make it, make k and make me proud of it. pictures are taken yesterday while trying to clean it. i lost my red piano, it got soaked, it plays sad notes, one-day i believe it will live again.

**finally i am off to meet a very special pastry chef, photographer stylist and friend! nervous and giddy!

Dans le studio

yesterday I closed the shop on broadway it was and still is bittersweet,
but I love my new space it is very grand and I am having a lot fun discovering my stuff as well as purging others. I have set up a replica of my shop here at the studio because it is at times fun to be a shopkeeper. I wish you guys were here, the Paris Taxi is playing on the radio, I hear the birds chirping( loudly) I will do my very best to make this a happy place!

spent my first afternoon in the studio, i placed some things around
but by no means did i decorate-just placing.

studio, the light was perfect. I love these I already
sold a few things just walking up the stairs of my studio!

Le Studio

I went to my new studio it was all mine and ready

(except for the floors not being cleaned). I sat there in the middle of the floor taking it all in as sophie explored, does she know that this is we're we will spend a lot of time, the place she will see me dance with excitement when i get something right, where I will pace up and down when I just can't get it, where i hope I learn alot about myself and a place where i hope laughter plays a big part.

Then I went to my store and started packing, I was not sad. it a lovely and special place. I think maybe at a later time I will talk about the store and how it took me one year and a half to decide to close/move it but today I jumped out of bed with excitement- I am ready for this ...i am.
