clouds

we were finally going, i had wanted to see midnight in paris for over month but every time the night would be planned something would happen. how i need this escape to paris and although i will be going there in october i wanted a few hours there now.  the thought of taking the kids did not cross my mind, until i realized why not introduce them to  woody allen now. i told them to look him up on the net. they said this guy is old, i replied yes now perhaps but he is a genius and is an inspiration to many creative types. midnight in paris it was! the only showing around here was at 9 pm, too late  of course but then a wednesday showing at 4:30 great! we all climbed into the car, i turned the key and all the lights tuned on but the car would not start, we had just been driving an hour before. i checked everything i could think of but we would clearly miss the movie. within minutes of stepping out of the car we could hear a storm coming, then  the most unusual clouds came  into view, the temperature instantly dropped, i knew this was big. i ran into the house, checked  the weather online- big flashes of warning signs all over my screen SEVERE STORM  warning, not again but i could tell this was different. i called the kids in  but the wind blew them in, tried to close all the windows, quickly spilled out directions, within seconds hale and rain came down with such anger. of course minutes before i managed to grab my camera to take a few shots of the clouds. when the first storm was over ( there was many to follow last night) i went back to the car put the key in and the car started, just like that. pretty lucky it did not earlier we would have been on the road instead of the safety of our home.

found an early showing of midnight in paris in brattelboro, i am determined so we will try again:)

*update it is now 11:40 am we hopped in the car to get an oil change then head to brattleboro which is forty five minutes away to see a two o clock showing of midnight in paris, again the car would not start. we are at home waiting fro triple a to show up, yes i will miss the movie again.

Beautiful! It will be worth it now when you get to see it. And I'm glad you were safe at home during the storm.

It was fate keeping you and the kids safe. Midnight in Paris is wonderful; I saw it last weekend. I can't tell you how much I wanted to just step into the screen. It's such a love letter to Paris. You're so lucky you're going in October. Can I stow away in your suitcase?

The clouds are ominous and you've captured them well.
