when the sun stares at the frozen pond

a list of things remains on the counter ignored for the chance of a stroll at the farm under the sun above the hills. trails muddy, boots muddy and dogs are muddy but we run and play anyways. sometimes i wonder if the dogs think they are human or is it us acting like them. i feel the panic set in when i think of the list i left back home but as quick as it came in, the panic disappears as mud splatters all over me, we start laughing. sun brightly shinning we turn the bend around the pond, where i can see mother nature has a new form of art, leaf fossils set in ice make me happy, sunday at the farm makes me happy, a glistening path makes me happy....i think i am happy

A walk like this would make me happy too. Reminds me of walking in the country side at my parents' house. Peaceful, calming, serene.

No place for lists in days of sunshine on hills, exuberant play, and ice fossil leaves... glad you left it behind and followed your heart. Hearts know what they need some days, don't they?

Beautiful pictures!

love that you made time to frolic with your furry companions. the 'leaf fossils' are fantastic. and the theme of self and happiness is refreshing. just posted on the idea this morning...perhaps the season reminds us of our simple treasures.

your studio space below is gorgeous, just perfect. wishing i was in providence!

beautiful winter!

how is it that the grass is so green—or was that one taken earlier?

i adore that second photo! it's so ethereal!

speaking of that. my sister and i just started a photo blog called ETHEREAL. we intend to interview and feature other photographers whose work we feel is ethereal, too. at some point, may we feature you? it would be an honor. i admire your work and the soft, peaceful quality it always has.

dear Georgia,

it is at farm with lush hills it has rained and been very mild so i think the combination of great soil, the rain and the sun makes it so green! i was surprised by the shot myself!

i would be honored to be included!

i'm so glad. i will contact you soon. we are still working on what our interview will be like—it's short and sweet and will ask you something about what you think of when you hear the word ethereal and how you try to capture it. so be thinking about those things.

the honor will be ours, for sure.
