i am thinking of you all, many post floating in my head, but got the unexpected call- "we are coming to visit" i am happy and excited, but in the middle of moving- boxes, empty fridge, pretty things tucked away. I love sharing my space with family and need it to be just right! so I must go back to fluffing the pillows, picking flowers from the garden, stocking the fridge..
if only this glitter was magic!

unveiling the funk

moments of happiness have been here all along
yet somehow lately, I can't get out of my own way.
i am sad that I have wasted this much time in a funk
because even though for a while(long while) I have been saying
be in the moment go through it own it.......but now I can't help but feel
it has gone on for far to long.

get over it already, i say, but she isn't listening!

*I have to confess, i am not a fan of the cross as a religious symbol, but when visiting Sante Fe I went to Chama and came across this antique cross made of red clay the beads are all hand rolled- it was damaged but that made it even more perfect-
(somehow I feel like i just got a revelation about myself)

cleaning house

Pretty cold

It is raining outside, I like the rain
but for some reason I could use the sun today.
So I went outside and picked a bloom
from every tree, bush and plant, then I put it
on a flat white plate with just enough water
to keep it alive...a little sun plate.

Today I get the keys to my new loft studio
I have never seen it empty..I am not rushing
to get there? Breakfast at Tiffany's is playing
and Darjeeling Limited sits on the table.
I will know when it is time to go.

the colors I love part deux or is three or four

I have loved these colours for many , many years now
i even used them for my store french dressing logo
It is hard to pin point when I first put them together. I have
to confess red was not always my favorite colour, except on berries
and shoes. I have always loved aqua and always collected
old french pieces with aqua paint. My apartment
is now a mixture of white linen couches, chaises, and bedding.
red old but simple furniture pieces from wood to metals
too textiles..oh ya and the chandelier!( I am having a moment) the red I have is very specific and yet all the found pieces
i have collected throughout the last fifteen years have that exact red, in fact friends call it
nadia's red. One day I received a phone call from a friend who said "come quick i just found
a piano in your red" of course how could i pass that up.

i have a love for all these things, mostly because they are all attached to memories, wrong turns,
curb side happy jigs and "I am just window shopping moments" so if it is okay on occasion I will share those
pieces with you and there stories.
