take time to smell the peonies

i hope you all had a wonderful weekend. my peonies are blooming but i have not had a chance to smell them. it has been busy and challenging, this weekend went by fast. today will be about finishing projects and making my porch on the farm house more inviting, it will be about giving love to a visiting kitten, preparing for a giant beautiful addition to our family and preparing something good for k upon his return from a five day absence! and hopefully i will have a chance of speaking to a new mama.

how are you?

beautiful! makes me long for warmer weather in the southern hemisphere.

please pardon my rural ignorance, but are those chickens? i always thought all chickens have combs on their heads. they are gorgeous little things!

Love your chicken pictures - they are lovely. And you MUST smell those peonies before they disappear!

I noticed little tiny buds forming on the peonies today ... can almost feel the feathers on your chickens.

Peonies and silver wyandottes! What could be more marvelous!

(um, I *think* those little banties are wyandottes, if I'm not mistaken?)

Hope you cut a big bunch of your marvelous peonies for a vase on your kitchen counter for all your guests to enjoy!

big hugs xo!

I love your new banner. Peonies do not grow in LA. we have to get them at the florist.

Beautiful peonies! They remind me my country, and how spring uses to smell there.
