a grown woman's confession

i miss my mommy! yes that is right. she lives in montreal and i in providence, different cities, states and countries. I get to see her and spends a few weeks a year with her. she is my biggest blog follower and i know i do it for her. what i miss though is being able to show up with apple blossom branches in the afternoon, i miss not being able to have her be the first one to taste my recipes, i miss not being able to go for an evening stroll or take in a movie. no mochas at the cafe and lazy day on the couch watching something that make us both cry and dream. I miss the everyday with my mum, i was so determined to explore the world, be somewhere else that now i wake and realize i want my mommy. She has taught me how to see beauty in the smallest things and how to make dreams real and all that i experience, i want to share with her.

I miss you too my love and when I do, I go to your blog, and live thru it. Your photographs make me dream, I am so proud of your ability to see beauty and share it with all of us. you take me to these places every day, and if ever I am a little tired, or melancoly, all I have to do is pop into your blog. instant lift up..
love you.

Me too! Your mother sounds like a treasure and I so relate to this, for so many of the same reasons. My mum lives on the other side of the world and I miss her every day.

At least our blogs allow another way of sharing...

So nicely said... thank you for your blog... i agree, when I need a pick me up or need to be inspired.. i pull up your blog from my bookmarks... I lost my Mom 2 years ago very suddenly and you hit the nail on the head... how lucky are we to have a Mom that let us dream, create and love. Well done! Amanda

I'm sure your mom misses you so much, too. While it's important to have adventures and explore, it's really hard to be away from the people you love most.
