when you walk into the past

yesterday i came across a few boxes of things from my past, some props, some from kitchens of my past. i got lost in memories and thoughts of where, when and how. It is funny how taste change and how something you once boxed up can feel new again and can change a space in seconds. It is snowing here as i sit in the cafe and look out, i found a moment of peace, perhaps it is the french songs of paris that play on the radio.

Such wonderful little bits. I can't help but love the patina on those items; so nostalgic and Edith Piaf, love love love

I totally agree. I love old patinas and cracked varnishes...for some reason they always make me think of my dad...I should investigate this with him more when he comes over next!
