today love

the sun shines bright as i make my way to the brown campus. we talk about personal things and try to use delicate words. we avoid big puddles and cross over snow banks. we walk towards hope. we enter a big hall crowded with the future, we find our way to seats. Glad that this day is here, deep down want it to be done fast, want to know you are now the president of the united states and bridge to peace, want to hear the words change from "yes we can" to "yes we will". Deep breath, i know now i have been holding it for a while, i make my way back down these snow covered sidewalks sun brighter, day brighter..hope now lit for all of us to see.

Powerful, moving. Impossible not to feel that something has shifted, for the better, on a scale that has not happened for too long before this, isn't it? A brighter day indeed.

You have a lovely blog and I hope to return and explore a wee bit more. I "borrowed" your "love" in the snow image above, as a post on my own blog. I hope you don't mind, of course, I gave credit to you for the image. I was looking for a little inspiration today and you gave me just that...the universe works in interesting ways. Thanks for sharing!
