let it snow

when i was young i never sat at the children's table, i used to always hang out with the adults, listen to conversation and help with whatever they where doing don't get me wrong, i collected caterpillars, berries and made snow angels. now that i am older all i want to do is sit at the children's table, i am a big kid i know this for sure. yesterday we were told that we might get snow and as we tucked ourselves into bed i said "please let it snow, let it snow" then around three am i left the bed to see if was to be and so it was! excited i bundled up and stood on my porch hoping that the dogs and k. would get up but of course they are of sound mind and stayed in bed. i just had to play it cool till a much more descent hour. we got one inch, i am not in canada after all but it was just enough to make snowballs take pictures and watch the dogs play.

the snow is magical this year. i normally don't enjoy it and have lost that child-like anticipation for it to come as you have described.

but i too, have been enjoying it! so far, we have had three significant snowfalls in one week. i've been loving it!

your pictures are magical. i especially love the dog paw print! and the picture of the dog, who almost looks as if sad to not be out in it.
:)

oh, i love the berries ... and that perfect paw print! these are wonderful.

i often pull up a chair to the children's table too; it's a fun place to be.

Ehehe! The two times we got snow here, I was up at the crack of dawn on the porch with a cup of tea watching it fall. It did not stay but I was trying to catch snowflakes with my tongue!! Yes to being a kid!!!

The pictures are wonderful as always!

There's nothing like the first snow, is there? It's the cleanest you'll ever see it all season :) You've captured it beautifully.
