the colors that lay beneath our feet
i knew i wanted to take more photographs of the fall and it's colors, it was clear to me as i turned the dial of my radio frantically trying to find a station that was not playing jingle bells. don't get me wrong i am actually one of those who enjoy christmas music, but usually where i am from there is snow on the ground- not days like we have had lately in the mid sixties. so i waited for a break from the rain then decided to go outhere and do the best i can. we took the dogs and walked along the east side as we walked we heard a school band playing and football fans making there way back to their cars and their homes. It was brown against Yale- pretty good match i heard, well anyways there i was with my camera taking pictures of all the color thinking to myself this a pretty perfect new england scene. I followed it up by baking cookies and apple crisp, then a phone call from my brother told me he was around the corner so i tossed some dinner together, we sat and talked about politics and we were all in agreement that my friends is a small miracle at my kitchen table. then we said our goodbyes and headed to the theater to see Momax new work if you have never seen them go..it's magical...just like the colors on the trees and the ones that lay beneath our feet.

what a wonderful day...I wish I could sit around your table as well...you know Nadia, we must have been thinking in a parallel way this weekend...i wanted to take photos and only photos of the blankets of leaves I saw everywhere! Your photos are so beautiful, touching, capturing exactly the feeling of all of those leaves--expressed so wonderfully. Thanks.
All these photos are so beautiful, the colours are breathtaking!
Leaves haven't started falling quite yet where I am, and when they do they will NOT look this beautiful.
These are absolutely gorgeous...like a blanket of leaves.
these are stunning nadia!
our leaves are mostly all brown now. I just wasn't paying enough attention and I missed peak. Sad to think I'll have to wait a whole year for another go.
I can't believe that those red leaves are real, there is nothing like them in our Scottish Autumn.
Your photographs are gorgeous.
so gorgeous! we didn't have enough of a fall season so these were so wonderful to see! thanks for sharing!
I don't know what to add... they are just WONDERFUL!!
