sunday

hello i hope you are well. it is sunday morning i am sitting by the fire as snow gently falls outside. the smell of scones baking in the oven begins to fill the house. everyone is sleeping and although i have been up for hours i feel as i too can crawl under the covers and sleep once more.

I think a morning of falling snow is such a promise for the rest of the day, walks through the forest, kettles and firewood. Promise of bread baked, soups made and audio's that take you somewhere you have never been. this will be my sunday here on the hill, were happiness is  possible.

although i have taken some snow and hill photograph this morning i thought i would share one of the shots i took in montreal of the Westmount library conservatory. i often went there when i needed an escape, the smells and warmth underneath this incredible beautiful glass structure still has that effect of calm on me.

Oh, this photo transported me to another place: the lushness, beauty, exotic warmth. Lovely. Offering me an escape.

Just had to come back for a visit; your photo captured this space so magically and dreamily...exhale.

Being alone in a room with snow or rain falling outside is a magical moment. I'm experiencing it RIGHT NOW as the rain beats against my window high up above manhattan. It's a very different sight from yours, but the emotions are the same :)

Uh MAZING! Oh gosh, I can smell the warm aroma of the scones baking. I hope they were good and that you are doing well. Oh look, I see our familiar France trip picks in your previous entry ....... off to check that out!

Such a lovely photograph. The hill sounds like it is especially peaceful in the winter, I hope you are enjoying it!
