flowering snow in the springtime and mother earth

around the corner from where i live there is a glimpse of heaven!

It is hard to believe the earth is in trouble in the spring time. when things begin to bloom and birds fly and sing above us. the earth is in trouble and has been before i was born, before we where born. It is easy to live in denial as we smell the fragrant flowers and eat the juiciest berries, but it is. I am not doing enough, i know it. so perhaps we can share how you have helped mother earth take care of us by lending her a hand and maybe we can learn form each other. maybe we can express the things we are having trouble with and help each other do the right thing. I love the blue skies, swimming in the ocean, hiking up mountains, but when i am to afraid to pick a berry, an apple or a peach and eat it right from the tree it takes the romance right out of it!

This is breath taking. Looking at this reminds us of the beauty that mother nature gives us, if we are kind to the earth.

What an important post. How could we not do everything possible to protect such beauty?

My husband has done a lot to educate me re: how to conserve and re-use. He recycles everything, right down to the little paper fortune in the fortune cookie. If he gets a canned or bottled drink at a restaurant or store he always takes it home to recycle, as he doesn't trust that it will happen at most establishments. We drive hybrids, but I really should be doing more with carpool. I am open to any creative ideas you all might have!

Just little things help, we would believe I walk, I ride my bicycle most of the time, I recycle, I buy food with less wraping, buy fresh food... And I don't buy what I don't need so simple isn't it... Gorgeous photos!!!

How beautiful - this is something Anne Shirley would have called "the white wave of delight". I love your blog - the beautiful sights, words and messages are so inspiring.

i have not done enough but i decided at the end of last year to change my ways. i plan to recycle once we get our own place here and i plan to plant a vegetable garden. the house we will be buying has solar panels to save on electricity and it has a central heating system that is heated by the use of the fire rather than oil.
