a birthday and a giveaway

this is my sister and her daughter

I am on the left and she is on the right!                                                        the above picture is of my sister (on the right) and look  she is trying to make an ugly face so that i can look better
in the picture than her well it did not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh and did you notice how messy her room is aha!!!

today is my sister's birthday and i will not be giving my ten years younger wrinkle free perfect breast sister anything, that's right nothing, nada...did you not just read the line prior what else does she need? So instead i decided to have a giveaway. Oh you are not convinced that she is not deserving of a present, let me elaborate further..not only is she my wrinkle free..perfect breast sister, she is the mother of the two most gorgeous children elle and dylan, she loves to exercise- come on people that alone merits nothing!!!! she gets to live with my wonderful mother in the best of cities montreal, wait it gets worse, she can sing, and is or will be attending university(who can keep track of such horrible things) has decided to help people by becoming a respiratory therapist see i told you the devil i say!! there is hope though since one night i heard the children say a prayer that went something like this "please, please don't let mom finish all the cookies" and another time i heard them say" please don't let mum finish the cheesecake" HA i am on to you my pretty little sister of mine!

So i would like to giveaway a Silverware Spoon bracelet to one of my readers who can sympathize with me:)

the rules are the following
IF your name is Nancy Helene Qudsieh you can not enter (I am on to you sister!!!!!)
You must have a blog
I will draw a name on  january 25TH!!!
Good Luck!

happy bday sis!

I stumbled onto early last month you while searching for blogs about RI (I found your winter photos of Providence) and was immediately in love!

Your photos are stunning, they make me feel cozy and warm even on the coldest of winter days.

You are so fortunate to have such a lovely family!

Best Regards,
Tara Beaulieu

one question: does the beautiful bracelet come with the lovely rock wall and the gorgeous clematis behind it? or will those not fit in the mailer...

happy birthday nancy! your sister is right, you sound pretty perfect...

I too have a perfect looking sister ten years younger, which makes me soo deserving of the bracelet. She might have been born with the silver spoon in her mouth, but I wouldn't mind wearing one around my wrist.

Oh, and happy birthday to her :-))

Well,I am the older sister by 9 years and would like to think that I am the better one...I think when you are the oldest, you are guaranteed that right, aren't you...especially when your younger sister likes to attack you when she's a toddler & bite into your skin!Ok,so do I win that great bracelet? :) Renee- reneealam@peoplepc.com

Hi I found your blog, somehow, and so glad I did, it makes great reading.

Happy Birthday to your sister, yeah, I think its best that one of us gets that beautiful gift..I would be delighted to be entered.

My sister was just like yours, unfortunately we lost her in July 2007, she is at peace now though.

ok now i really love you...this cracked me up--yes i can relate, only it's my older brother who was born with a big brain--he is a Physicist and the Dean of Science at NYU (well la di da!) and I can't even do simple math. Oh there's more but for now, he gets nothing too...(happy birthday nadia's sister anyway!!!)

(love the pictures nadia esp of you and elle!)

this is the cutest post nadia and you make me miss my big sister (who thankfully lives only a 5 hour drive away, depending on traffic of course) so dearly.

This made me laugh too! Sister's are the best - even if they do outshine us! Mine is also beautiful (inside and out) and a wonderful mother, creative, intelligent... the list goes on. I just tell myself that it takes all sorts and we are each unique and special in our own way. Sometimes that makes me feel better, sometimes it doesn't ;) Happy Birthday Nadia's sister!

Hello...you both are gorgeous!
I wish I had had a sister, but even having my brother for a short period of time was a blessing and a gift.
