the lives of others, a walk to remember and to forget

i find myself seeking solitude, i am alone often, but finding peace is more difficult. at times i stare at my camera and whisper let's escape and before i know it i am there. every click of the camera brings me closer to peace. I think seeing things through a lens sometimes helps me see things clearer...makes me take a moment and doesn't let one pass me by. I can go for hours, a mixture of observing, taking photographs and sorting through the thoughts spinning in my head. sometimes i walk away feeling lighter, other times i am inspired to be better and once and a while i whisper to myself "it's gonna be okay".

"it's gonna be okay" it always is, we just, sometimes, fail to see it.

it IS gonna be ok. It's not always what we expect, but it will be ok. :-)

What wonderful photos. Sometimes taking time away and snapping photos is just the thing to clear my head. It makes you realize how important the small details are.

I have the same sentiments when I take my camera downtown. Love the last picture!

I also seek solace from my camera....if I am having a horrible, migraine inducing day.....the only thing I want to do when I get home is to go out and SHOOT!

Although, what does it mean when I want to do that on days that are good, great or otherwise?!?!

It means, I'm obsessed either way......I can accept that :)

I understand your feeling. When you see the world through a lens, you are seeking transformation, reality touched by magic, to make things a little different from what they are... You do it great, in my opinion. And if you need solitude to acomplish it, welcome it.
It's funny the way you whisper to yourself. I tend to look for others to tell me that it's gonna be okay. Listening to those words is so comforting...

i know how you feel; solitude does not always equal peace. but i will tell you now what a friend sometimes tells me: todo va estar bien [everything will be fine].
