tracing your steps

sometimes I worry that what i love, what I am passionate
for, has turned to some sort of over indulgence. I am asking myself is seeking beautiful things and wanting to capture it( at all times) am I giving back enough or just taking? truth is if the answer is a negative one- my next question would be can i stop?

Nadia, that sooo resonates with me! I was writing a comment on another blog about how expensive food is and how my role in this whole individual responsibility thing is a negative one. Baking everyday... is that necessary? probably overindulgent. yes, we eat all of it or give it away but is that even necessary? I'm afraid not.

Bah.. me maybe, but not you. The response to your question you can find on my blog today. We need artist like we need air to breathe.

I agree with corine in that it is necessary and for those poor souls like me who have so much inside and yet cannot get it out-we LOVE those like you who can express it for us. So please, continue your passions. :)

First I read Aran's blog now yours. Simply put, heaven's no, you are not being over-indulgent. No great art- effort- love came from a surface interest. Passion is what makes life worth living whatever your calling!

Oh goodness, we need sparks of light in dark times....you and your fellow artistic blogger, no matter the medium, create those sparks. The world would be a far darker place without those who can capture the beauty within it. There is so much sadness an tragedy out there and in the media that we need a podium for the love, and light too.
