the last few days the air has been cool, the sun high in the sky i would be okay if this was what our summer weather would be like all the time. the horses love it as well, they graze all day long without bugs, the ducks dive into the pond as if its renewed freshness is another pond all together. the air in the house is perfect and i loved that i had to pull out a blanket last night while i read my book. i do like it here and although i do complain about the hot humid weather in new england iwill never complain of the cold from cool spring days to snow covered ones.
this morning is extra bright because of this surprise over at frolic!
I loved Maryhope & Ethans guest, they wore colourful frocks and danced all night. Oh but the trace of aqua that went through the wedding had me swooning!
the thundering clouds and crackling lightening woke the whole house up before the morning came. all i can think about is would the sun come out after it all to be able to hang my laundry. i like how the rain deepens the greens and makes the white blooms pop, the already lush farm is even more dream like than ever!
last weekend i shot a wedding. everything was so beautiful, the bride Maryhope was one of the loveliest brides i have ever seen. her stunning dress and earrings that glistened through the night made things even more magical. the wedding took place at the historic family farm in darmouth, ma. the bridesmaids wore white dresses and gold shoes of their choice, each one different and beautiful fit them so perfectly. I will let the pictures tell the story. Thank You Ethan, Maryhope, friends and family for making it easy to photograph.( the kindest and most graceful of families and friends!)
it happened today around one thirty, the moment i waited for two years came. the chores where done, animals fed, garden watered, house cleaned. a few hours of editing this weekend shoots, i found myself in the living room. the breeze a mix of warm and cool traveling through the house. my body decided it was time and it looked promising i layed myself on the white couch, my body resting against the french ticking and linen pillows my eyes began too close, i was about to nap and i was going to let it happen- no it was not a choice but a must, i even thought about the post i would write about as i slowly began to fall. i was a sleep- finally! then a minute later the phone rang and i was up. i almost did it, took a nap in the afternoon.
