tracing your steps

sometimes I worry that what i love, what I am passionate

for, has turned to some sort of over indulgence. I am asking myself is seeking beautiful things and wanting to capture it( at all times) am I giving back enough or just taking? truth is if the answer is a negative one- my next question would be can i stop?

Guess what I played dress up all afternoon.
Cynthia spent the afternoon on the porch and
in the garden. I got a sneak peek at her beautiful skirts.
I tried them and even twirled in them. Then she decorated
the apple blossom trees with her delicious skirts and I got to play
photographer! She is lovely see!....the best news is that she is having her sale;
so take a look, but don't tell her I told you.........okay!

this morning in the driveway

My neighbor Cynthia Treen, has a show today.
She is very talented( unbelievably). This morning as I was putting things in the recycling bin I noticed
her car was filled to the rim with her famous wrap around skirts.
I could not resist taking photographs of the "car wardrobe".

Someone made the sky blush this evening

the colors I love part deux or is three or four

I have loved these colours for many , many years now
i even used them for my store french dressing logo
It is hard to pin point when I first put them together. I have
to confess red was not always my favorite colour, except on berries
and shoes. I have always loved aqua and always collected
old french pieces with aqua paint. My apartment
is now a mixture of white linen couches, chaises, and bedding.
red old but simple furniture pieces from wood to metals
too textiles..oh ya and the chandelier!( I am having a moment) the red I have is very specific and yet all the found pieces
i have collected throughout the last fifteen years have that exact red, in fact friends call it
nadia's red. One day I received a phone call from a friend who said "come quick i just found
a piano in your red" of course how could i pass that up.

i have a love for all these things, mostly because they are all attached to memories, wrong turns,
curb side happy jigs and "I am just window shopping moments" so if it is okay on occasion I will share those
pieces with you and there stories.

Strawberries begin to bloom

I just love exploring in the garden, i love spotting things
just as they begin to bloom. Today i am extra happy to see
my strawberries begin their journey!
